Have been trying to blow up a 2nd gen Glock 22 since 1994. No luck yet...I can't even make it jam!
I play with lots of other pistols, but the Glock 22 is the one at the ready fo me 24-7...because it is reliable and totally durable. Slim, light and easy to carry, with no extrernal hammer or afeties to fool with. 15rds of 40SW ought to quell anything I get into!
The Glock is not my favorite....but its the best for the purpose I use it for. I can also abuse it and neglect it and it will still look and shoot perfect. Can't say that for the other "pretty pistols."
G21SF as the home defense and possibly EDC gun as soon as I verify zero on the new Warrens I installed.
G34 as my IDPA/IPSC gun as soon as I verify zero on the new Warrens I installed.
They arent the prettiest things, but they work, have tons of aftermarket accessories and are retarded simple to work on. Cant really beat that. Just wish they had better triggers.
G21 - built in 1993, bought in early 1994, 2nd generation, tupperware case
G30 - built in 2008, bought in June 2008
G19 - built in 2008, bought in August 2008
I had a G33 but was not too happy with the 357sig ammo, the cost being a big factor.
My next Glock will probably be a 26 or maybe a 23.
No pics...but I have a Glock 22 that is just awesome. It goes everywhere with me. In the boat, in the woods as my backup when Bow hunting..Its the ugliest gun I own, but it's probably the most reliable one in my collection..
