And that's exactly why there was a push to have suppressors removed from the NFA. It's ridiculous to have this kind of system for something that is never used in the commission of a crime. It only makes a weapon more cumbersome, and the idiots who use them aren't gonna get subsonic ammo.

All of my docs submitted October 11 for a Griffin Reece5 suppressor thru Silencer Shop kiosk/DocuSign email.

We'll see how it progresses.

Stamp arrived 2 days ago - 6/13.

So right at 8 months for me.

Seems like the acceleration toward faster approvals have slowed.

Most recent approval:

Form 4 to customer: check cashed 3/9, just received approved Form 4 yesterday 9/25. Seems about typical with other recent approvals.
Recent customer to dealer Form 4 for machine guns: 3 months.
Form 3 (dealer buys a silencer for inventory): 1 week.

yes. Oddly enough, the exact same amount of paperwork if you cut an inch off your barrel or buy a machinegun. Ahhhh, the governmental logic.

Seems like approvals are slowing down. Just got a Form 4 sent 4/4 and received back 11/30. However, our Form 4 from person to dealer for a MAC M-11 machine gun was approved in just two months! Hopefully with the use of eForm 3s being nearly automatic and the new eForm 1 (taking 7 days to approve), it'll take more pressure off the form 4s. Who knows? Maybe they'll get back on with eForm4s and cut a few months off the wait time.
