Are you trying to get into trouble?

    Making a political statement?

Just don't see why you want to do something you know is illegal and in such a way as to increase your chance of getting caught.

Really don't see a upside to this other than the thrill of it.

Back on the subject (a bit):

    (b) Section 46.02 does not apply to a person who:
    (6) is carrying a concealed handgun and a valid license issued under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, to carry a concealed handgun of the same category as the handgun the person is carrying

Man, I walked in walmart for over an hour reading magazines, even helped a guy on the phone trying to get his wife back on track somewhere in Oklahoma with a map, ate dinner for 45 ish min in a buffet getting up and down, got bored and did three laps around the inside of target and I didn't notice anything, not a thing, different about my night other than I was taking random pictures.

It's not illegal. Since he has a CHL and carries a concealed handgun 46.02 does not apply to him. I'm sure he will stay out of 46.03 lcoations.

Just got tired of all the hand wringing, the concern, and utter BS of the whole debate.

That and I can't comfortably sit back and write about things in theory for so long without getting an itch to try things out in the real world.

Good point... Doesn't exempt you from those places. Also might want to stay out of places that sell alcohol, like Walmart. I agree that it's legal, but I believe at some point you're going to get taken in. Personally I'd rather be fighting a misdemeanor instead of a felony just in case something goes sideways.
    Sec. 46.02...
    (b) Except as provided by Subsection (c), an offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor.

    (c) An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree if the offense is committed on any premises licensed or issued a permit by this state for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

It is Ok to go to places that "sell" alcohol, but don't allow consumption on the property, correct???

The ebay seller of the 2nd knife (6in blade) I'd won didn't ever ship the knife to me so I've only lugged out this one a couple of times more. Folks are totally oblivious. I'll take photos of my next adventure.

That and the complete and utter ruckus I caused over at texaschlforums.com. I got sighted for saying "Grow some" and "Dammed if I do Dammed if I don't" for language inappropriate for the forums there and then the thread got locked.
