Banned from Facebook...for the fifth time.

Facebook is disgusting. It is, in my opinion: anti-American, it is anti-normalcy, it is anti-decency, it is unethical in how it acquires user info and then uses that info, it is amazingly hypocritical, it is an unethical pollitical force, it is a liberal mecca yet somehow those who claim to be conservatives give every excuse for still using it and are in effect supporting what I believe is a tool of the enemies of the United States of America.

So what justification do folks who are supposedly conservative or libertarian give for still using it? They give those like two already seen above: Oh my golly my business community is there and will not follow me elsewhere. Why is that - because either your business is not good enough to follow (in the eyes of your customers who use FB) or simply because you refuse to stop using FB for your business. Start a new frigging business community elsewhere or just leave FB and tell your customers the only way to get to your business is through other means! Others say, oh my goodness, I use it to communicate with family. A poor excuse, mostly used by FB junkies, is what I think of that because there are other free social media sights that anyone and their family can join, for free, to communicate or you can text, email and telephone one another (or even all become members on a site lie this). Then again, how about this - write letters to one another, put them into envelopes, address the envelopes, put the proper postage on them and mail them (what a novel idea).

I have many friends who claim to be libertarian or conservative yet still use FB even after becoming fully aware of all the chicanery pulled off by FB. They say they detested the whole aura of FB but stayed there. I detested FB and I left it for good. I left it regardless of whether or not those friends followed me elsewhere. My attitude, if they want to stay in touch they will find other ways to do so with me, if not then **** em and let them morph into liberal flunkies. They honestly are not worth keeping in touch with if the only way they will do it on FB, a site I and many of them (or so they say) consider to be a socialist/commie/ultra leftist website.

That is merely my opinion of FB - yours may vary and so be it if it does. It is a fact though, if you use it, you are in effect supporting the left by using it.

TGT is a forum and a type of social media just like FaceBook and many other social media platforms that are used.

They all have TOS agreements you agree to, in order to use their platform. Disregard them here on TGT, and you can get banned here as well. And it always at the discretion of the owners, admins and mods as to what they consider ban-worthy of an offense on their platform.

But on FB I can vent to groups of friends and family and even sometimes to the public. The latter is what usually earns me a ban.

Yup, FB algorithms are set pretty tight if they have you pegged as a "conservative". And there is no sense of humor in the appeal judges either. Been banned many times for using the word "kill" in a joking context and never had a successful appeal.

Tried the MeWe thing and it didn't work out. Friends wanted me to stay on FB and fight them. It's been fun. Getting banned is fun and a badge of honor.

My sister and I get banned on fb about once a month. I have no qualms about posting political and anti-muslim info and do it every single day. It takes some creativity. It's also fun to piss off the few liberal idiots who are on my friends list.

I joined 8 or 10 years ago... was a member fo 2 days before I deleted my account! When the friend requests started coming in, I realized pretty quickly just how much I didn't want to have contact with those people!

Quick Facebook story.
When I was a ranger on the City of Austin endangered species preserve we had a jackoff break the gate to one of our caves and vandalize a sensitive karst habitat.
had a pretty good idea of who he was based on the graffiti inside and outside the cave.
Checked his Facebook page and it was set to private. Called FB to see what it would take to open it and was told to just send a request from a .gov email address.
We did, and less than an hour after sending the request we had pictures of him in the cave, cutting the lock, and vandalizing the cave.
