I won't vote for him but his appeal is sure expanding.

Every election, there is some Dem who is going to save the dem party. Last election it was Abortion Wendy. This election, it is Beto.

Were he as pro-2A as Cruz and a business conservative I just might.

If he were pro-2A and a business conservtive, he would not have won the Dem primary.

All those liberal social things just leave my "Give-a-Shi**er" utterly dispassionate lately!!!

I'm living in a very conservative area and sure see a lot of Beto signs on fences.

And, for goodness sake, he grew up in El Paso, his nickname was "Beto" in kindergarten. Not pandering but quite an asset.
Honest curiosity, what is Beto's appeal to you? Take 2A and Conservative Business Actions off the table, what makes him worth voting for?

You got a narcissistic LeBron in his corner for supporting kneeling athletes, you got a unfaithful doping Lance in his corner. Those 2 reasons alone mean I wouldn't vote for El Blanco. Of he wasn't in TX he would be going around like Cortez in NY wanting socialism.

It again comes down to votes. The only way a blue wave hits is if conservatives and Republicans (not one on the same) stay home.

So did I - “by mistake” - no mention about his interview at SXSW where he said the NRA can go to hell and there is no reason for AR 15 s in private hands. Guess he’s also not trying to piss us off anymore. Reverse Pandering. But we know how he believes. He wants our freedom. Robert Frances the truth isn’t in you son!

Even if a moderate Dem existed, they will toe the Pelosi/Schumer line when they get to D.C.

Overall, Cruz has done a good job. Perfect? No. But then which one of us is?

Because they are sick and tired of pandering Ted Cruz who lies, doesn't keep his word, flip flops, hates on Trump, then cozy's up to him? Yeah, I don't like either candidate, but Cruz is pretty done.
Whoa there, I know Ted and I know his dad and they are solid folks and they both stand behind the 2nd 100% as in what is about "shall not be infringed" are you not understanding!

Lets see, you got 5 posts and you are on here poor mouthing Ted Cruz....anyone here smelling a TROLL???

Perhaps a history lesson in in order. It's not at all unusual to find Irish family name in Mexico. http://www.houstonculture.org/mexico/irish.html

I don't care if he is Irish or Zambizi, all I care about is where he stands and where he stands is on the wrong side of me...

IF Beano wins then Soros and the rest of the Dem operators will descend upon Texas like ants at a watermelon picnic. Texas is the GOLDEN Priz, it is the trophy that the Dems are drooling to get their hands on. If they can turn Texas Blue at the State level then the possibility of wining a national election as the GOP is near impossible. In addition it may turn the tide at the local level and turn Texas DEEP blue, if that happens the US will fall into the abyss of liberalism -socialism. Texas is in the top 10 economies of the world and most likely has the strongest economy in the US. Granted that the GDP of Ca is larger, but GDP is driven hard by population whereas Texas has the second larges state pop, and has prob the strongest business economy and that is what makes Texas great! If we are taken over by Dems at the local level [and they already have a strong foothold in ALL of our major cities] you can expect liberal policies to take hold and become a drag on capitalism!

Rhino refuses to list Cruz's flip-flops & lies. Prolly cause the only one anyone could construe would be his non-endorsement of Trump at the convention.

I missed that news story. He is young, white, and a male so he figured he would be perfect for the TX poster boy for the left. The devil is in the details. He knows not to go off the rails like Cortez or he would not have a chance here. He should have moved to NY, been groomed by Schummer, and he could be the new darling of the left. A much better example than Cortez or Kamala.
Look, Beano dropped out of the debate he agreed to:

    https://www-texastribune-org.cdn.am...27/beto-orourke-ted-cruz-debate-friday-texas/

It was suppose to be this Friday in Dallas covering the economy. I guess discussing the economy isn't a winning issues for Communist scrum right now.

Personally, I’ve never understood the Ted Cruz haters. I don’t know what there is not to like about the guy.

He’s personable, intelligent, articulate, puts his mind in gear before putting his mouth in drive. I don’t know who his advisors are but he seems to have a good team around him and advising him.

And, in as much as he’s a politician, he commands my respect as much as any non-veteran ever has. Politics is a challenging vocation (sometimes down right nasty) and I think Senator Cruz navigates these choppy waters as well as any politician (and better than most).

Plus, let’s face it: he’s a Texan, with Texas values and it’s those values that most closely align with mine. A balanced Conservative, both fiscally and socially, strong supporter of individual rights (Bill Of Rights); well educated (Harvard Law). If he wasn’t our Senator, I’d like to see him on the Supreme Court!

Nope. I just don't have the time for this at the moment. Nor do I expect that am I going to change your mind if I post 10 things I think he's wrong on or lied about.
