I oiled mine, half opened it ~100x - it's a little bit smoother. Works for me. I really don't want it opening up in my pocket and going all Bobbit on me.

Right. I'd rather have it a little tighter so the mechanism never loosens too much later.

mine is the same way......but with no "safety" I'd rather it require a deliberate push of the button in order for it to deploy the blade
