Bought my first AR-15

Just bought my first AR this week and I know I want quad rails but I'm not sure which ones I want mainly do I want 7" or 14", what do Yall think?

Need more info about the rifle.
How long is the barrel?
What length gas system?
Front sight block or low-pro gas block?
A 16" rifle with a carbine length gas system won't work with a 14" rail.

14" rail? The longest I recall seeing is 12". Where are you finding a 14" rail?

Sorry I think it was a 12" I'm new to this, it is an olyarms 16" flat top carbine it has about a 6" handguard and a 2" picatinny rail in front of it now , I was looking at a 7" free float quad rail

Well, you've already got a free-float, so it would be difficult to go to a regular handguard. Looks like you're stuck with freefloat rail systems. And unless you want to change your gas block, you're pretty much stuck at 7" rails. Most rails won't fit over that gas block, so if you wanted to go longer you'd have to switch to a low profile gas block.

Not pertinent to the OP, but there are several mfr's that offer rails over 12" in length, e.g., DD, LaRue, MI, VTAC.

Olympic is not known for quality, so at the very least, make sure the carrier key and castle nut are properly staked.
