I think the source makes a big difference too. The sugar, HFCS and the diet sweeteners can cause a lot of health problems. If you get caffeine from black coffee you actually get some antioxidants.

Those diet sweeteners are pretty bad for you. They mess with your brain and can cause issues with focusing.

Just an FYI on mega dosing on ascorbic acid, which is just Vitamin C. If you mega dose on ascorbic acid, it may or may not cause you to have some of the most horrific smelling gas.

I've found I can also mix about 50 mg of caffeine will cure some headaches if over the counter pain relievers aren't working.

Not all, but many brands of aspirin contain up to 50mg of caffeine with each 300mg to 500mg tablet, as the caffeine potentiates the effect of aspirin. When used in the correct way, caffeine has some beneficial uses.

Caffeine affects everybody differently. I still drink good old black coffee in the morning. I've been known to have a few glasses of iced tea with dinner too, but I don't drink soft drinks or anything else with caffeine in it.

No plans on changing.
