If you look at that article, though, you can see that even that article is part of a sinister agenda... and it's aimed at Texas, too. They want to nationalize everything.
An increase in severe weather events, attacks on power stations and the push for green energy are all highlighting the importance of a resilient national power grid.
I hope we can keep that from happening here in Texas. We shouldn't be forced to shoulder California's stupidity. That's socialism.

Just a friendly reminder that Faux News isn't all good.

    Gooberments always doing shit backwards.

You're supposed to build the infrastructure first retards.

The first step is get off your knees, wipe the environazis leaving off your chin and start building shit.

If they had spent the last 25 years building a few power stations and desalination plants just imagine the difference. No brown outs and droughts wouldn't matter as they could have been pumping water into the lakes and aquifer for decades.

They could cover the whole state in chinee solar panels and wind turbines and they would still have blackouts.

Zero phucks but I can manage a told you so and deep belly laugh.

We have enough grid problems of our own, thanks to renewables.

Cali also wants to pipeline fresh water from the Mississippi River to California.
It's not like they have don't a honking huge ocean right there to extract water from or anything.
But if they make the feds and other states pay for the pipeline, they can steal the water for free.
That's how commies think. Easy theft from others. Exploit, exploit, exploit. "Somebody will pay for it".

They have a nearly infinite water supply to the left of them. They just need a shit-ton of electricity to desalinate it.

    Not really.
They could use solar stills to evaporate sea water about 50%.
Dump the concentrated brine back into the sea.
Refill the stills with fresh sea water each night.
The evaporated/distilled water would be piped away for use.
    They’ll never do it tho.
