The community college i went to on the NE side of Houston allowed me on 3 occasions but it was for "historical instruction". I was allowed to bring in firearms from different historical periods for visual aids and hands on experience when the history department was having lectures on different wars. Because of the value of the collection i was allowed to carry my personal weapon and the campus officers escorted me to and from the lecture hall and my vehicle.
Nice, so do you have guns from historical American wars? Like flint lock muskets from the Civil War? I went to the Civil War exhibit at the Museum of Natural Science, a few months ago, and the very last display they had, were all the different types of weapons used in the war. The revolvers they had were amazing. It is amazing just how far ahead of their time they were with firearms technology, which just goes to show just how necessary firearms were, and obviously still are.
