Wanted to start a thread for general area specific bs. Basically if you've got something to share, throw up some feelers, etc. and you don't think it's worthy of it's own thread (or it already has one in another section) post it here.

I'll kick it off with what I'm talking about, for those who don't know on Thursday August 14th Texas Law Shield and the TSRA are having a gun law seminar at the community center in Aransas Pass if y'all haven't seen the thread.

The law shield seminars are very informative. I made one earlier this year in SA and it was great to hear the stories and info the lawyers had to tell. I'm going to see if I can make this one, lots of conflicts with my schedule at the moment. I highly recommend it to those who can make it. FYI, you do not have to be a member to attend.

Thanks for the insight roadkill, I've chatted with the law shield guys at a gun show in San Antonio and it was a very insightful conversation so I'm pretty excited for the seminar.

Bring a notebook, you'll want to take notes. The one in SA related a lot to the SA ordinances that aren't legal ( preemption, mostly about carrying in city parks etc and knife laws). Be interesting to see if they have real legal stories from our area and insight into local laws.

Not that I know of, I am thinking about going to check out the carbine matches that Texas Carbine puts on.

Seen the one in DC and the traveling one both impressive. Stood back and watched in DC it really affects the one's that were there understandably

I can imagine........ I went there to look for a name to take a picture with it, but could not find it.... I thought it was sorted overall alphabetically, but It was sorted by Date of Death then alphabetically....

Gun show in Aransas Pass next weekend (Sat and Sun Nov 1-2). I will more than likely be there Saturday morning (possibly all day) and maybe Sunday helping out the Coastal Bend Troop Support Center as they are getting a table and we'll be setting up the boot display.
