Cost to have 1911 slide cut for dovetail?

Whats the average cost to have dovetail front sight cut in my 1911 slide.

And who would you recomend in the austin area.

I'm watching this thread too. I have a Colt officers size 1911, that has had 3 "staked in" front sights in the last 2 years. Everytime I have a gunsmith put one on it lasts a few hundred rounds then fall off and I can never find the dam thing. I imagine they just use an end-mill and have a certain angled cutting bit. Any info on this in San Antonio or Austin would be nice.....

If it's just the front sight, it should be less than a hundred bucks which would include the sight and refinish. Check with Alex Hamilton in San Antonio or Hank Fleming in Austin.
