    I'm watching this thread too. I have a Colt officers size 1911, that has had 3 "staked in" front sights in the last 2 years. Everytime I have a gunsmith put one on it lasts a few hundred rounds then fall off and I can never find the dam thing. I imagine they just use an end-mill and have a certain angled cutting bit. Any info on this in San Antonio or Austin would be nice.....
