I'd use my Nagant revolver so I could be in the cool all metal pistol club, but 200 rounds would cost 3 times what the course did.

Yeah, I considered shooting my 1911 but its about double the ammo cost of 9mm. I'm sure that Nagant ammo isn't cheap. That was a sweet gun though.

I use WC grease on my 1911 but I will bring a little oil just in case. It has a black cerakote finish so a little rain should not be much of an issue. I am really looking forward to tomorrow. Rain or shine it's going to be great!

Lol... I really enjoyed shooting that! Would be interesting to see it put through an intense pistol course.

Looks like light rain up north of houston and moving away. A pretty nice size cell coming from the panhandle, should be a long while getting near us. Of course, this part of Texas, if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it'll change.

Today was awesome! In my opinion you could not have had a more perfect August day to take an outdoor pistol class. Overcast and a slight breeze. I hope the weather is just as nice tomorrow for everyone like it was for us today. I look forward to the next class.
