If its .357 rated, then .38+p is no issue.I am picking up a Rossi R92 .38/.357 next week. Does anyone that has one shoot .38+P in it?
Unless I misunderstood your question.

Thanks for the reply.some lever guns are more oal sensitive than others. i’ve had winchester 92, marlin 94 and various ubertis that didn’t run .38 as reliably as .357. one was so rough, it went off to a cowboy action gunsmith and returned in much better shape.
try it, but be ready to remove the magazine end cap if it locks up too badly.

I have a New Haven (JM stamped) Marlin 1894CB Cowboy Limited with a 20" octagonal barrel.
Wow. Y'all had better door prizes than I ever saw at any IHMSA shoot.I won it at IHMSA region one championship as a door prize.
Are you trying to cost me money? Now I gotta go look for a newer Henry 357.the new henry .357 lever guns finally have loading gates View attachment 243390

I'm sure there would be lots of machining involved. I may just have to buy the loading gate model and have a spare. Or I could sell my color case hardened Henry 357 and buy a loading gate model, but where's the fun in that.i wonder if henry can retrofit?

At a state shoot in NY I won a XP-100 7br. Shooters Choice had a giveaway, send in a post card with the name of the sporting good store you shop. I won $1,000 of shooting supplies, anything I wanted, I got a Browning Buckmark .22 for silhouette shooting.Wow. Y'all had better door prizes than I ever saw at any IHMSA shoot.
They gotta be better than the Remlins.Would love an 1894 - looking forward to the new Ruglins this year and to see what Ruger does with the brand..I’m sure it will be good!
