This is Sarge. He came to us as a rescue and helped a 18 year old Chiwawa have a good last year of his life. Dogs are God's gift to man teaching us unconditional love. He's my boy and my wife's baby.

Katie came with a house I bought up north. Old widow didn't want her as she was her husband's nasty old outdoor dog. She cleaned up just fine and has been the perfect lady and companion. The house has since been sold but Katie is family and we cherish her. She is an Akita/lab mix and is protective and loyal.

This is the pup we just picked up for the kids very first dog. He is a Lab with one "freckle" of dark hair on his right shoulder.

Bandit, my Belgian Malinois shepard mix: (first pic obviously not taken in Texas)

I had a Malinois / Shepherd mix that passed about 18 months ago......miss her dearly!

Here's my new dog. Just got her last week from a coworker that had found her as a stray in their neighborhood. I haven't figured out a name for her yet, but she responds well to "hey dawg!". I think she must be some kind of pit mix, but not sure... She's super sweet and well behaved. No idea why someone would ditch her.

I really like this pic. She looks like she's saying, "Yes, I know I'm the shiz-nit!"

As for why the abandonment, in this economy abandoning pets is commonplace. It's a shame.

It's definitely a pit mix. I had a pit lab mix that I adored I adopted her from a shelter one of the best dogs I ever had.

I agree, and thanks for the comments. I feel privileged that she's enthusiastically accepted my family as her family.

This is my loyal buddy. She was prob 1.5 years old here. She is a full GSD. Her ears never stood up though. THats ok, I think it suits her personality. lol
