Brodie, the latest Wallisville Road Rescue at our house. (we have 3 now) Picked him up SuperBowl Sunday last year. Several people have told us he's more of an American Bulldog than a Pit. He's come a long way in a year ; got rid of several different kinds of intestinal parasites, got rid of a bad case of heartworms, got him fixed, and he's got a day job. The boss met him when he was gettin' heartworm treatment, now he comes to work with me every day. I don't get many panhandlers or windshield washers on my commute.

    Dallas Texas or so
I wish I had a pic to post, but growing up in the fifties and sixties, I had a Great Dane that Dad brought home full grown. We already had two pekingeses and a collie. The whole family was sitting out on the front porch and Dad walks the Dane up to us. It said hello to my mother, looked at my sister, growled at my brother and came over and sat on me. I was hers. She was that dog that only one in a million boys gets. Totally loyal, would do anything for me. When I rode the bus to school, she would be at the bus stop when I returned. If I drove the car to school, she would be asleep on the hood of the car when school got out. School was over 8 miles away from the house. How she found it, I will never know. One time, she made Dad spend the night in my closet because he came in while I was asleep. We would feed the dogs Gravy Train and let it soak to make the gravy. She would carefully lift each of the four bowls down from the table so all could eat. Of course she had to feed the Pekes first.

She also caught a cat burgler in a neighbors house. Held him by the gluteous maximus until the cops came.

Used to take her rabbit hunting. The deal was she would chase the rabbits past me, I would shoot and she would eat it. One time a friend missed the rabbit and she sat down. He asked what's going on. I said you missed and she quit. To prove the point she then got up and walked slowly back to the car, shaking her head.

View attachment 18940 I have a dog named Selene and 6 cats. Here's a photo of one of the cats,Max, with Selene & I as we were going out for a walk. I trained Max to walk with a leash before I got Selene. The stroller has a pet crate in it that I put Max in if we are walking and come across a stray dog. We've been chased by stray dogs, so my Hubby got me a Kimber pepper spray gun to defend myself while Max is safe in his "Maxmobile" (That's what I call the stroller)

Pics of Selene on her beds. I got the blue one at Goodwill for $4, and I made the pink, white and purple one from a sheet I got at Goodwill and some throw pillows I got at Goodwill and Epic Thrift Store. I used the stuffing from the pillows to fill the bed. She was happy to have a new bed and was wagging her tail. Max saw her tail moving and right after I took that pic, he pounced and startled her.

Hard to believe my "puppy" Zeus just turned 6 months old and is just shy of 70lbs so im pretty sure hes gping to be well over 100lbs by the time hes full grown. Hes turning into a great dog, very protective over my wife and son and listens well for the most part. Its a nice day out so I took him for a little truck bed ride learning in the neighborhood.

Here's my pal, Banzai. He's half Boxer, half German Shepherd. The most loving, protective, and gentlest giant I've ever known. When someone approaches myself, my wife, or my daughters, he puts himself between the person and which ever one of us is approached. He does it without growling though. Just puts his ears down, like a warning not to do anything stupid. On the third time the neighbor's vicious pit tried to break into our house , when my wife opened the door to leave, good oll Banzai got him by the neck so hard, he broke off his own tooth in that dog. The neighbor got in some trouble cause his dog's attempted to attack us before, but this time the dog was near death and he decided to give him up so he wouldn't have to pay the vet bills. So, here's our awesome protector, Banzai.
