Really? I was out and about doing things, but besides a slight tint to the afternoon light, it didn't seem like it was much.

Yes, I was surprised at how light it stayed, even when it was a near perfect ring.

My 73 year-old Aunt pulled into my driveway at 11:45 and ordered me to fix her cell phone.

She asked: "Why are you sitting in your driveway in lawn chairs?"

She didn't even notice it was darker. I showed her my sidewalk.

I was shooting a horse show in Tyler so was not in the path of totality, but took these pictures anyway.
