A bit off topic here, but what's the advantage to the stripe not working? Not like it's RFID, or a LEO can't get the same info by just checking on the computer, calling it in, or if you live where I do, sending in a carrier pigeon.
Is it just to prove a point, or is there something more behind it?
I have not been able to prevent my drivers license from being swiped by some folks, they are faster and I was not as vigilant as I should have been. Couple of times at hotels and once at a gun range, both illegal on their side. Glad my strip does not work and I can better control the data on the card. Not worried in the least about LEO and their ability to get my information.
It is illegal for anyone to get that information by electronically swiping the card that is not LEO or a banking institution.
Check out this thread I started a while back on the subject. http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/...ur-drivers-license-swiped-electronically.html
