I'm sure other stuff works well also, but Mobile One is inexpensive and, as said, lasts a long time.

I thought Ballistol was not petroleum based. I use it quits a bit - particularly on my black powder guns.
You would not say that if you had dated his granddaughter...I did, with luck not very long, bonafide nut case. Met her at a party in Dallas, she was a looker, she was a Ralph Lauren model. Had issues with jealously, BIG TIME! After a couple of months I dumped her could not deal with her fits of rage and accusations of seeing other women. I will say that in my almost 25 years of being single she ranked up there as one of the few if I saw walking down the street today I would run and hide.I agree. I’m a hoppes man myself. I still use clp though. Works good for cleaning but for lube I stick to hoppes
Yes, but what do you lube the pig with?Debating gun lubes on the internet is like wrestling with a pig.
Probably what happened to me a long time ago.Maybe y'all been sniffing Hoppe's #9 too long.

What in the name of Zeus' furry fanny does that have to do with the topic? Maybe y'all been sniffing Hoppe's #9 too long.
Yup, I'm confused.
I use Ballistol, I hate the smell of hoppes and it gives me a huge headache just being around the stuff.
LOL not sure I would put her in that category, looks, yea had it spades but as I got to know her over a month maybe 2 she just completely turned me off with her real personality. 2 mo or so of my life I never got back...Ole cowboy I thought you just posted in another thread by accident but now I’m interested...you dated someone famous. Lol that’s a celebrity in my book!
It has an odor, yes. But nothing like #9. Eezox is more like when one does whites in the laundry and uses bleach. How is the odor of Eezox? I am getting side eye when I crack the the Hoppes no.9 open as of late.
Strait Lucas Gun Oil [the red stuff] is pretty good gun oil. Light on odor. Has a decent viscosity and will stay on a 1911 slide well. The other Lucas gun products are primarily kerosene or similar solvents. Their CLP is a joke. But yes, their plain red gun oil is good.
