Slow morning out in Hondo. Last year sounded like WWII at the opening bell. Didn't hear the first shots until about an hour after sunup this morning and the shots are few and far between. I guess they knew I wasn't going to be shooting today as our pecan trees have been full of doves all morning!

Sounds like everyone had fun. All i have done the last 3 days is licenses. Hunters were out just after sun up down the street from me.

Good morning hunt south of Lubbock today. My GSP ran off and ended up 2 miles away. Luckily I got a call from someone and she's home again.

Daughter is all set for the evening hunt. Looking forward to it much more than the morning one.

Course, she mostly kicks things around and let's everyone know that "we didn't get any cause daddy didn't shoot very good", lol.

Gonna be great when she is old enough to handle a shotgun.

Barely got my limit by 9:30 out in Waller over a cut corn field. Needed some wind to move the heavy fog out. Was a tough morning, I just got lucky with the draw on field position. Headed back for the evening hunt in a few minutes.

Will start the early afternoon hunt in the front yard, close to the tea pitcher.

Not gonna get out on the pasture till 5 or 6. Depending on what time I eat dinner.
