I'm sure one (media or anyone else) just calls the CIA to confirm if someone has worked for them........

Yet no one from Fox did even try to call.

But I take then that anyone can claim to work for the CIA, why, because they would not confirm nor deny anyone's employment. Hell, I might as well call FOX and claim to be an operative since no one can verify it???

Nah, there is no real constituency for the things I believe in. Second, what major contributors would want to fund such a platform? There is no money or pay-off in it. That is why Rand Paul will never be president.

Do I have to be either a liberal or conservative to believe in gun rights? Do I need to go along with the majority on this forum? Do people on this forum enjoy the sound of one hand clapping?

If he believes the way he says he does, I agree with most of it. Having said that, Fox news is no worse than CNN, and is much better than MSNBC.

When we think about sciences, the highest forms answer the question "why"? So I ask myself, "Why does this thread exist?" I came up with several possibilities:
1) For entertainment
2) To make a point as a "professor"
3) To drive change

While this list certainly isn't exhaustive it covers a good percentage of potential motivations. Let's examine each.

1) For entertainment
Now some would immediately use the word "troll," but please understand that there are many out there to appreciate honest discourse and debate. Not being a troll presupposes that you anticipate an objective exchange of ideas. However, this can only be accomplished through facts and reason lacking in this thread. Humor would also fall into this category, but this thread is not funny at all. The only valid possibility remaining under the "entertainment" genre is "trolling".

2) To make a point as a "professor"
This would entail delivering some sort of knowledge to students. Considering there were no unknown facts conferred, and we're not students, this one goes out the window.

3) To drive change
Posting on the internet to drive changes is idiotic. I don't think the OP is an idiot at all. If this was his/her purpose I apologize for calling out the lack of judgement and naievity. Assuming the OP is not an idiot this possibility must also be disregarded.

So let's recap. As we examine "why" this thread was created the most likely rationale points to "trolling."

If we dive a little deeper and consider "why" the OP (hypothetically) would want to troll everyone we must look at his/her background. Given the distinct lack of information there, this is dangerous. But we must proceed in the name of internet correctness.

What is immediately suspect is the lack of posts about firearms on a firearms based bulletin board. Yet there are tons of political threads, mostly bashing conservatives while claiming conservative ideals. Threads about guns? Shooting? Reloading? Targets? Ammo?

Understanding completely that this exercise is not scientific...if we weigh the evidence and apply logic it definitely appears someone is here to troll political forums. Again, I'm not saying that's the case, but the perception is not unfounded.

I would suggest jumping in on actual gun threads and laying off the threads inflaming folks if you'd like for people to respond to you better.

Just my 2 cents.
