    I've had a lot of bikes, but the ones that I think back most fondly on are:

    1. Cushman Eagle
    2. BMW R1150GS
    3. Honda Goldwing GL1800

    For long distance touring, the Goldwing was king. Big, heavy bike that feels incredibly light and maneuverable as soon as you start rolling. Electronic cruise control and a Shoei helmet with speakers hooked up to an XM radio sure made the time pass quickly as the miles rolled away. I did 975 miles in one day on that bike. Should have gone another 25 miles just to hit the 1,000 mark, but I just couldn't do it.
