Filling a screw hole

Marlin Lever Action rifle, it has a tang sight added that I now want to remove. I need to find a way to fill the extra hole in the tang. Seems like a simple job, but I don't know where to find a screw-hole filler. Can anyone help?

Buy a tiny allen head screw and put it in there. That way you can always take it back out later if you so desire.

Go to the hardware store and bring the removed screw with to find a match.

Ace Hardware usually has a whole section of little bitty screws that work well.

I used some black crayon melted into a couple of holes on my 82G Kimber.

I don't want to weld it up, or JB Weld it - I'll take the old screw to Ace and see if they have an allen head screw that will work. That and some red lock-tight should make the fix for me.

Uh..."filler screws" are a thing. Brownells has 'em.

Red loctite is some serious stuff. The blue will work for what you need.
