I love the ole vinegar and salt trick. Looking great!
Thank You Dan. Appreciate that. Installing the yoke on the drive shaft was a huge pita. But it's together right.
The tranny showed up. After some study on GM crap. It's my understanding this 4l60e was built to a 4l65e. Five planetaries front and back. 'beast' Sun shell. Corvette servo. Looks pretty enough for a warmed over Turbo 350 with a 4th gear and lockup converter.
All the stuff that comes in the "Monster in a box" rebuild kit. Is pretty decent parts. From all I've read about the parts Monster uses. It's not junky by no means. (Sorry 35, I had to make a word up.)

Things like this is what pisses me off about GM. You're looking at a slip fit GM trans cooler.
Now the pissed off comes from the slip fit connectors being 3/8" tube to 5/8" NTFP. Sizes only used by GM. Not the rest of the world. There's no such thing as a 5/8 NTP fitting on planet Earth. (NTP is interchangeable with NTFP, the first just requires sealant).
GM sure has some Asshole engineers. So to use this cooler off label. I have to use slip fit adapters for $18 each. Or second option...... flare the cut off sections of factory line I got with the cooler. Run hose off those.
This cooler came off a 94 chevy 3/4 ton suburban. It's the same size as B&M's $100 24k cooler. I paid $5 bucks for this one....buts it freaking 5/8" NTFP. Later model slip fit coolers come with 1/2" NTFP slip fit. I couldn't find one of those as big as this cooler.
Damn GM, cut a guy a break....
