In Japan, you can actually buy toilets with heated seats.

They also have various water jets to clean you and the toilet from various directions using pressure and water temp settings controllable by the user. There are night lights, deodorizers, white noise generators to cover up the sound of you doing your business, and air conditioning below the rim for those hot days. Some are internet-connected and do basic medical diagnostic tests on your output, relaying the results to your doctor. To control all this, some have remote controls. Most, though, just have touch controls with idiomatic markings that are completely incapable of being deciphered by a Westerner.

The Japanese really love their toilets.
