Not many steel bumpers about these days. Worked like a charm when there were.
I had to start a vehicle blocking the taxiway when I was in the military
The shift commander didn't have jumped cables like he was supposed to
This was about 1987 snd we had to Dodge Ramchargers
I touched my bumper to the other one and stretched a coat hanger between the positives
I had a pair of issue flight gloves and that metal wire got hot as hell in my hand!
But it worked
