Just remember that the world is a completely different place every generation. The world my dad was raised in is gone as is the world I was raised in.
I enjoy some of my dad's music as well as my children's but I love my music.
Whatever the firearm world brings in the future I will accept while still keeping a safe full of my favorites from now.

There's plenty of other Tupperware out there that's just as reliable and better to shoot on the regular. Only thing I can really say Glock has going for it is that aftermarket.

As much as I like my Glocks I doubt that.
Over time the 1911 market will slow but never really die.
The Glock market is always changing and they have been slow to keep up until recently. If they don't get moving with some real innovation they will be hurting in the future.
1911's have been around for over 100 years because they are made of steel. Glocks and their like will be in the recycle bin along with the other discarded plastics long before that.

Yes, I have a hard time seeing very many 1911's at the landfill. At least the plastic pistol users will likely have the slide still functional from their pistol after the frame is sent to the landfill. LOL.
