I'm all for free market but some folks are getting stupid. Your beat up used Glock isnt worthy of a 50 to 100 percent retail mark up.

And that's a special different kind of stupid than the idiots paying that price. Or meeting behind the adult bookstore at 2 AM to deal.

    Update the spreadsheets gentlemen.

Seriously, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Dont get me started on 1500 dollar WASRs or fubard bubba gunsmithing home brew ARs.

But they know what they got.

Who knew shit was worth so much.

Were in a pandemic dont you know.

Dude, relax. You’re going to stroke out if you aren’t careful.
    Stroke?

I may fart a bit but no stroke cause I'm not stupid enough to have paid double.

Beside the stroke comes in a few weeks when your 900 dollar glock is only worth 450 again.

CC, I understand what you're saying, and I agree to a point. I believe in a free market. And if there are those willing to pay stupid prices for those guns, then that's on them.

Some people because they weren't prepared, are at the mercy of these sellers and their over-priced guns and ammo. Most gun owners aren't.

I believe things will stabilize and get back to some normalcy within six months to a year.

Why do you care what price someone asks for a gun they own, be it a Glock, a Sig, a Walker Colt, or whatever?

If Joe Glockster asks $1200 for a Glock 17 Gen 3 that has 10K rounds shot through it and Ned Newby can’t find any guns for sale in his locale and feels that Glock is worth $1200 and pays Joe, why does that bind your panties?

Or are you a Socialist and don’t believe in free market buyers and sellers?

Is it too high a price to pay? For me, yes...but I already have what I need.

Yes, yes of course, free enterprise system, yes, we're all Capitalist's.

    OK?

    Got it!

But, if you can't understand Cand's point, you aint listening....

The sheer gall of asking 2.5 times in this market (and used at that) more than should be asked for something is a pissing me off price too.

Does anyone 'have' to buy it?

No, and it's not 'essential' (gawd, i hate that word now) but quit avoiding the point.

Were I to sell something, hell anything, I wouldn't ask out-f-ing-landish prices, but then I'm fabulously wealthy, so there's that....

I may be overpaying for a Glock soon. It’s the color and model I want and they are hard to find. Would I pay that much for a black Glock? Heck no.
I sent you a PM, but I’m not sure if it fell into the missing few hours from yesterday.

If you want something bad enough, you'll pay what the seller is asking. But this forum is not the place to try to get 2-2 1/2 times it's worth.
