I carry a Ruger EC9s and/or a S&W SD9 depending on how I feel. I recently bought a Henry AR-7 and went a little nuts on AR-7.com. The resultant ½AR-14 is now in my bug-out bag. Figuring if one .22LR was good two .22LRs would be better, I started looking for a .22LR pistol for my EDC go-bag. Thursday, I went to my LGS and looked at their few .22LR pistols. I picked the used Taurus PT-22 with rosewood grips that had been in the display for several weeks. It, a spare magazine, and a non-original hard case set me back $216.98 after taxes. I took it home, loaded both mags, walked out back to the creek bed and test fired it. It didn't miss a beat. The DAO trigger pull was long and heavy but smooth. Accuracy at 10 yards was acceptable. I'm happy, and the little Taurus is riding in a pocket holster with the spare magazine and a 50-round box of .22LRs Ina pouch on my EDC go-bag.
