Another positive to owning my dream 1970 455 HO TransAm 4 speed is I can Diagnose/fix/repair anything on it myself. Can you do that on a 2015? Oh HELL NO...
Yeah 2015 Monsters darn near NO ONE here can afford. lol Heck you can still get a late 60' early 70's and restore it back to brand new. In which I might add as well was the BEST years for the True Muscle car....
Depends on the car, 100%: L88 Stringray's go for $1M+,[/video]
Unreal money for a car that was probably more like $8-9k new in 1971.
These were mass-produced Plymouths that didn't sell well because, when loaded with the $883 Hemi engine on top of the $3,291 base price for a convertible, they were really expensive. They had also become really expensive to insure.
In 1971, only 6,228 'Cuda hardtops and 374 convertibles were built. A scant 108 hardtops were built with Hemis and just 11 convertibles had Street Hemi power. Four-speed manual Hemi 'Cuda convertibles are the rarest of all with just three built.Value Trend

0-60 in 5 seconds isn't really "fast" comparitively these days. The new F150 EcoBoost Supercrew does 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. With a 0-60 in 5 sec..
Wow. Yeah, see I'm 29, so I was just guessing what a new muscle car cost '71. That's a pretty serious invest if you knew to buy one. 45 years later make millions...better than any 401k.http://www.hemmings.com/hmn/stories/2013/06/01/hmn_feature18.html
The economy correction from 2008 was massive.

Quick is sub 4's, fast is sub 3's, and really fast is sub 2's. Lol Which is also insane.
Oh yeah! I though you were referring to today's cars. Yeah, my VW CC actually does it in 5.6s and it's just a turbo 4cyl.Pretty fast for a 70's car. Today sedans will do under 5's
lolIts not as difficult as you might think once you figure out all all the modules and systems and how they are divided amonst all those scarey looking components under the hood.
Here are 0-60 times for all the cars in production to run it in under 3 seconds.

The "0-60 in less than 2 seconds" comment was conjecture based on the upcoming release of the Bugatti Chiron and it's stats: 1,500hp, 0-60 in 2s, 288mph top speed, $2.5M.
