Actually, that's pretty true because I'm learning where places are!
For example... I just looked up Georgetown, having never heard of it before you posted. :)
If you really want to learn Texas start perusing the “for sale” classified ads. You’ll see the location in the ad and have to Google where that is to see how far away it is for that really good deal!.

Even though we own all the land behind it -

Facing East. We stand on the mats and shoot over the railing, under cover.
The backstop is 105' from the railing with tiny steel targets hanging on it. The yellow steel target is on a moveable stand; I keep it at about 15-20yards and move it out of the way when we wanna go deeper.

There's well over 100 yards going N-S across the back, but we've no need to sight-in anything for long range. Anything, or anyone, coming out of the brush onto the cleared 2-acres around the house - is within reach. He does have the .308, the 30-06, and a Winchester 721 ranged out to the corners of the clearing.

I'm so jealous my eyes turned green. My range looks like a slash and brush pile with realtor signs for targets, card table and folding chair. .

    Nice.

You may look at mounting horse stall matting they sell at farm supply stores on the backstop
I have used RR ties for years and I found they really help them last longer
And its easy to staple paper targets to

In the last picture, is that a gun safe on the porch?

That is a nice range setup. So jealous

    Thanks!
It's a gun cabinet (pic below). We picked up a few to use inside the house to store the guns (moved up ourselves, some each trip) during the 3-month move - and after the safes came up with the big stuff when the Katy house sold - the cabinets got repurposed, one of them in the shooting area... one in his shop area, etc.

We also have a Spring and Fall meet at a gun range. Everyone chips in with food and drinks. Members bring their own guns and ammo and let other members shoot what they brought (to a point). It's lots of fun and a way to meet other members. You can also bring your other family members and friends. This is a great way to meet our/your members.

It normally is. The exceptions being, it's miserably cold, windy, and extremely muddy, or when it's 4700 degrees out without a breeze.

A lot of pot luck grub, toys of all sorts, and a bit of bs'ng for flavor.
A “bit” of bs’ng? Somebody is bending the truth, a lot!

That is like referring to the BLM riots, as mostly peaceful…
