Usually what I do too. I buy and trade sometimes and get stuff without a box. It has never bothered me if I didn't get a box.Cardboard gets trashed. Plastic cases are kept.

The model 10 my father bought me when I was a kid did as well. I think I was 9 or 10.
He bought one for everyone in the family, except he bought a SS model 60 snub for my mom.
I had forgotten about that.
I still have my mod 10, and my moms mod 60.
I don't recall if the mod 60 has ever been fired.

I have a plastic pocket holster for the m60, and sometimes have it on me around the house. I carried the m10 when I worked security over 35 years ago.
