FYI, I went to the gun show at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown today and I noticed it was 30.06 posted. IIRC correctly since the place is government owned (Nueces County) the signage cannot be enforced.

TEX PE. CODE ANN. § 30.06 : Texas Statutes - Section 30.06: TRESPASS BY HOLDER OF LICENSE TO CARRY CONCEALED HANDGUN
    (e) It is an exception to the application of this section that the property on which the license holder carries a handgun is owned or leased by a governmental entity and is not a premises or other place on which the license holder is prohibited from carrying the handgun under Section 46.03 or 46.035.

I didn't see it posted. I saw a paper on a table that said something like "CHL holders, please remove ammo and magazines from your firearm. If your firearm is found with ammunition it will be confiscated."

I read it as "leave your carry gun concealed if you want to protect yourself."

I plead the 5th for any questions regarding me and my CHL.

Gun shows have been posting signs for 15+ years. The unenforceability of these signs on multiple levels has been discussed just as long.

Fairgrounds are 51%. Saw it in the banquet room once and a check on tabc site confirms it. Entire grounds are 51%.

We have them do that here in Bell county. Was basically told by LEO that he would arrest me and take me to jail. I could then take it up with the courts if I was in the right or wrong. That's why I am hoping they pass some kind of legislation to give civil penalties to governments that improper post on their facilities. It's total BS

There is legislation introduce this session to penalize govt agencies that allow posting 30.06 on govt property. Please contact your state reps and demand they support this

one of the reasons i do NOT go to gun shows.

The idiocy of people to have a whole area full of guns but not trust the buyers of said guns (who have to pass background checks) to carry their own weapon for which they had to pay an extortion fee, take courses, lose privacy and pass another background check is just too much for me.

What gun owners tolerate is amazing.

my shooting range does not allow guns to be out of the container while passing thru the retail area en route to the range area. rules r rules.

I can understand a rule for safety but at a gun show where people are carrying cash and valuables and forced to disarm is stupid as hell. I can see at a range because people lets face it are stupid. I don't mind Murphy taking care of idiots but don't need them harming me.

That being said if it's concealed it's fine as long as it stays that way imho
