This is one more case of "you broke it, you bought it". Many Central and South American and Caribbean countries were invaded by US marines in the early 20th century to install and prop up tin horn dictators who were on the take from American corporations such as United Fruit. Haiti specifically was invaded in 1915 and occupied until 1934. They never got a chance to develop democratic institutions. Look up the Banana Wars if you're interested. Chickens do eventually come home to roost.

Is anyone else getting a strange sense of deja vu? Wilson sent troops to Haiti in '15 and they were there until '34 to restore/maintain order after the assassination of the Haitian president.

Too bad we don't have an officer of the calibre of Lewis B. Puller to send there and deal with it. Never mind, I forgot the Democrats do not want to solve problems - they want to exacerbate them in order to drive more "asylum" seekers here to continue weaving the wonderful tapestry that is diversity.

On a related note, I find it strange that the Haitians have not grasped the latest ploy of the other failed colonies and demanded reparations from the mother country. I have to wonder how many centuries it will take for those countries to accept responsibility for their own failures after gaining independence? Which raises the point of why so many countries - Haiti, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mexico, etc - have failed (or are failing) after gaining independence despite having everything in place that they needed to maintain their standard of living?

It's not a question of fault, rather of understanding historical context. Dictatorships do more than enslave their people, they retard the development of stable institutions. The question now isn't whose fault is it, the question is what is in our national interest now and in the future.

It isnt plundered if you CHOOSE to live here and CHOOSE to send them your money. I think if you realized you have choice and have choosen to give your money away, you wouldn't feel the need to so angerly copy-paste about your booty being plundered.

The money is now the HOA's and not mine after I CHOOSE to live here and CHOOSE to send them my money. Nothing was plundered from me and nothings been plundered from you. I (and you) could choose to move, or stop paying.

Nearly every single post you make is about you cursing about being plundered. Its as endearing as someone angry at Hanes because their chonies are bunching and more thong than brief, when they knew they needed the next size up yet continue to buy and wear the wrong size because Hanes runs small (not sure if they do or not) and then complain about it.
