I encountered an issue I never noticed before with my 629-6, so it's gotta go back. The hammer will drop if you hit it... I never noticed this before because I never screw around with the gun with the hammer cocked anyways because it has a really light trigger and I usually shoot immediately after cocking. I luckily found this issue when the gun was unloaded. I want to get that fixed though due to the obvious safety issues it causes. I'm not sure if normal wear and tear caused it, or if the previous owner tried their hand at a trigger job.
I already emailed S&W, and they said they'd pay the shipping. I'm just waiting on the shipping label. I don't think this falls under their warranty, so I might end up footing the bill if they aren't feeling super generous. Any idea what this is gonna cost me?
