Just wondering if anyone had heard of or is planning a New Year's OC event. Given that it becomes legit at the new year. Everyone get together, do the countdown, then start to OC.

Just kind of curious. Given all the discussion when bill was being debated, haven't heard much discussion if anyone has plans for the new year.

Well, that's okay for during the day. If you live anywhere near Cypress. Just wondering if anyone had a New Years event planned for the stroke of midnight. Mostly just curious since there was such a major hubbub about the passage of OC.

If I go strapped to that BBQ place with a suppressed HK hanging out the bottom of the holster is that too much too soon?

Are you asking will there be some type of OC Ball or Gala style event on NYE at midnight? Man, you must reeeeally want OC! Does this need to have a ball (or bullet) drop? Champagne flutes? Black ties? Plastic horns for everyone to blow on? Instead of firworks we all pull our guns out and let a few loose into the midnight sky?

Alcohol and firearms? Where do you plan on going out to to exercise your rights? IIWM I would stay far away from places the citizens will call the poe poe on you.

Perhaps a bit of irony was lost in my OP. Given there was so much wailing and gnashing of teeth during the lead up to passage of the bill, why is there no such hoopla now that it will finally come into effect? Besides, it would be another opportunity to attention whore.

OCing in Houston sounds like an extravagantly bad idea.
