    Denials take a while to workout.

    I have done a few of those and dealing with the NICS section is a royal pain in the ass.

    I was going to ask about that. However, right now, a CHL is another wait. I mailed mine Jan 30 '09 and received word on March 7 that they received my application on March 3. I guess there is somewhat a backlog.

    Don't trust that the notices are very timely. By the time you got that update, it could be approved and being sent out.
