Oh, it gets even better! The governor's race out there didn't even matter, but this one... they've gone above and beyond on this one.

Before Proposition 25 goes into effect, the CA legislature must pass a budget with a 2/3 majority. This has kept the minority party in that heavily-gerrymandered state from being completely steamrolled and allowed the Republicans to at least retard the spending done by the progressives somewhat. No more. The morons voted in Prop 25, which makes it so that budgets pass by simple majority now.

So now they have a socialist (literally) governor, a legislature that loves to burn through money like a horny drunk at a strip club, and the minority party can't even hold the bastards back from the ATM.

CA is done. Get ready for the refugees, they're going to be coming in a year or two.

Prop 19 was the marijuana legislature, wasn't it? Didn't they shoot that one down at the polls? (I haven't been able to see much election coverage)

That might have helped the state's economy.

One good point concerning this thread.

"cbigclarke" mentioned not buying from Commiefornia. I had a small part go out on my Ford Explorer, Stabilizer Link, so I was surfing the net to get ideas on prices, planning to change both. Probably was going to buy them locally anyway, but I found a site that had several. I decided to call them to get more info.

The guy on the phone was a foreigner of some type. Every question I asked him he had to put me on hold and then come back. When I finally had all I needed to know, he asked if I wanted to order now? I asked him where they were located (it wasn't on the site anywhere). He said "Kollifornia". I said "no thanks". Bought the part locally even though I could have gotten it for half on the website, from Commiefornia. THAT is how the liberals are killing the place. Multiply that by a thousand times, people passing up buying there, going there.

    They JUST don't GET IT.

This comes as no surprise. Part of the reason I left. It was nice for this to be my first local election that I was on the winning side.

It always struck me when I was stationed in SoCal how much $$$ there was out there, yet they have managed to go broke. Proves that it doesn't matter how much money you have, if you don't know how to properly manage it, only a matter of time before you go bust. Kind of like lottery winners that go bankrupt a few years after winning millions.

They are already coming. Seems every time I drive on I-10 East, I see vehicles with California plates, piled up with their belongings. Especially on Saturdays.

Expect it might turn into a flood now, just hope they don't bring the disease with them. You'd think they'd learn their lesson. But I read posts on other boards from people in Vermont & New Hampshire that had liberals move there from New York & Massachusetts and bring that crap with them.

19 was shot down thanks to lobbying from law enforcement and the medical MJ lobby. No shit. Kind of tells you everything you need to know about the War on Drugs right there.

The early escapees won't be the ones you have to worry about. I didn't grow up there, but I did escape from California. It's the ones that will bail out when the water starts lapping over the rails that you have to worry about. Those are the rats.

How stupid? I think it's pretty obvious.

The good news is that they're just one good earthquake away from sliding into the Pacific!

Some things never change. One of my ancestors was a '49'er (Gold Rush, not the really bad football team). Here are two quotes from his letters in 1850:

"I need not tell you that I long to be at home and if I had known as much about California as I do, I would never have come in search of gold to this barren, volcanic country inhabited by naked savages and men that have no fear of God who are ready to do any manner of wickedness at all times."

"Men from almost all parts of the world (are here) – Chinese, French, Dutch, Spanish, etc. And there is a small sprinkle of the female sex here and they came to make gold, not by work but by play."
