I like it a lot and it is a beautiful rifle. This one however is a re-chambered (by CZ) .458 Win Mag. It sometimes balks at A-Square 465 grn Lott's but feeds 500 grn Hornady Lott's just fine although I've only fired ten of the Hornady's. .458 Win Mag all feed perfectly.
I would definitely recommend a CZ 550 to anyone....looking at getting the equivalent in .416 Rigby.

No sir, I bought mine new about 3 or 4 years ago. It came chambered in 458 Lott but who knows how long it sat on the dealers shelf. I am guessing it has about 100 rounds through it, and I took it apart a while back and noticed the bedding was broken. I don't really have any idea how many rounds it took to break the bedding up, but the bedding was only about 1/8" thick originally.I've read articles concerning that exact failure Dawico. It seems like it's mostly occurring in the older rifles like mine. Is yours re-chambered too?
I've got about 130 rounds through mine and all looks ok for now although I see what looks like a little "movement" of the action in the stock.
CZ 458 Lott, Barrett m99 50 BMG, and the S&W 500 magnum.
Poodle shooters!
This thread had me out at Cabela's looking for a .416 Rigby CZ.
