We got fed up with JSCFCU when they changed the name to Wellby. What the crap is a Wellby? I transferred funds to USAA and am not satisfied at all. Then tried Penfed and that is the most worthless CU I have ever tried. Penfed won't let me transfer my money to another bank. WTF? It's my money and they won't let me have it? USAA is almost as bad. I tried to transfer from savings to checking, 2 different times a couple of days apart, and all they can tell me is that the transfers are pending. On what? It's one account to another in the same CU. It's been 4 days now and the transfers are still pending. How on earth do they still operate while doing shit like this?

They still operate like that because folks believe in "better brands" and "free shit".

I wonder....is there such a thing as an indecent bank? A bank where the tellers are scantily dressed or nude? I know the business model has been applied to hair salons, coffee shops, and restaurants.....but has a bank tried it?
    Your Wife wouldn’t let you go there. . . . .

My life was very different many years ago when I used to do this, but, with that said...
first time they tried that you can only take out 2.5 k at a time in cash. I said close my account.
...I've never been refused when withdrawing $12K in cash. Of course, I always called on Monday and told them "I know you get cash on Thursday so I'm letting you know today that I'll be in on Friday to withdraw $12K. I'll need $10K in 100s and $2K in 2s. Can you have that ready for me?"

    Never a problem.

I was able to walk in and get a check written from Chase to pay for my house.

ETA: I guess that's different from actual cash though.

They can get you as many as you want at any time if you warn them before they place their cash order for the next week.

What's cool is that sometimes you get an uncirculated stack. Paper money collectors will pay 2X face value for those.

Where I work, you can order these $2 bills or whatever denomination in sheets.
So if you want 25 $2 bills, you'll get it on a sheet however, they will cost more than $50, so unless you really want to collect uncirculated bills, stick to the exchange and place your order in advance as mentioned.

Yeah, I've got a quarter sheet of $1 bills framed, hanging on the wall.

I don't know where you work or how that impacts availability for you but anybody can get sheets or partial sheets. See here.

ETA - Steve Wozniak used to get full sheets of $20 bills then have them perforated between bills and bound in a book. That way, he could pay for things by taking out what looked like an oversized checkbook and tearing off a bill or two. He got a kick out the spectacle of it all. Once he tore off a couple of 20s in a casino in Vegas where there was a Secret Service Special Agent assigned.

    Hilarity ensued.

And he did the same with other denominations and form factors. Here he is kidding around about using pads of $2 bills.

Yup that's the place to get them however, that's not where I work, they just get them from USM.
If you're a collector you might want to check out the USM release of a Morgan/Peace Reverse set being released in the fall of 2023. First time these come in a Reverse mint.
