I have heard good things about KIDD. From what I understand them and Clark's Custom in Shreveport are probably the top of the line for accuracy oriented 10/22s. I have a Tactical Solutions 10/22 and love it. I am kicking around getting a Clarks Custom for Sportsman Team Challenge though. Just not sure I can justify owning two 10/22s.... (that coming from a guy who currently has 10 ARs)...
So, what if one has no plans for further than 100yds or so?
A quarter at 100? I would be impressed.
Mind you that's on a good, calm day.
Here's a pic of my wife and her 100-yard dot drills. She can plug them into nickle-sized targets pretty damn consistently. Scary as hell for someone who's only been into shooting for about 5 years now. The pic is a good example of what the previous rifle is capable of in the hands of moderately competent shooters. This was done on a simple sandbag rest sitting next to a guy with a 7mm mag pummeling us every few seconds I can only imagine what expert shooters can do with it.
I'll post pics of my targets with the new rifle once it comes in... I'll try not to embarrass myself.

My dad owns a bad ass Clark Customs 10/22. He knew & worshipped Clark Sr. and has one of his custom 6" 1911s he picked up. There are pics of me at Clark's Shop when I was in a stroller(approx 1976). I am trying to figure out a way for him to let me "borrow" it for a while, but he uses it around the house to shoot coons, dillos, snakes, etc. Here are a few pics of his 10/22:
That's a freaking beautiful rifle... dammit I'm jealous again. You're going to cost me some money, Scott. Damn you.
How many 10/22 rifles are we allowed to own anyway? There has to be an implied limit somewhere...
Thanks.
Well, if I had my way... I'd have at least one 10/22 setup as a carbine to shoot offhand with a 25-50 yard zero. I'd have a 10/22 for bench shooting at 50 and another for 100+ Lol. So at least 3.
If she's nailing nickle sized bullseyes at 100, this is going to be a fun one for her(and you). I love my Anschutz(technically my dad's but on somewhat of a "permanent loan" since he doesn't use it). I am just nutty about Rimfire right now. I want to track down a Suhl 150 as well. Most likely I will just buy 2 super nice 10/22(a KIDD and possibly do a lightweight build with Kidd/Volquartsen parts) I also want one of those 10/22 Volquartsen makes chambered in 17hmr. That looks fun. Other than a long range rifle(way down the line), I don't have any plans to buy any centerfire stuff anytime soon.
I wish I would have gotten addicted to something I can shoot forever super cheap instead of my $1.50+ per shot bolt guns...
