Sorry, I only know it's there.
Lived here 15 years and only just found out about it.
It is a residential home/lot. Owners live there too.

I don't reckon they care if it's a stray, or owner just doesn't want any more.
Ah, so it is private people that take cats in.

Feral cats are nasty. It's not a doubt if they have worms. They do. Fleas, skin disease, and Worms. Plus they get rabies. They crap in your yard and the dog finds it. Now the dog has worms. All of the above is why not to keep them around. They're extremely f'ing nasty.

If you post that you will be the target of all lost cat owners hate.

We actually have a cat sanctuary in our subdivision.
I'm curious as to whether cats are able to get out of there and roam, or not.

Another reason I was thinking about posting on Nextdoor, to see if they comment, and maybe tighten security if their cats do get out.

I would call Animal Control just to verify they will pick them up before you start trapping them.

At our last house we trapped them. Sent about ten of the neighbor lady's cats with Animal Control.

That is a good point .

ETA: I don't really want to start trapping them, just a little frustrated and was thinking that might cause them to keep their cats inside.

    Cam, we need an update.

PS - the coyotes are running through the drainage system here. They pop up and snag cats and small dogs. My dog won't walk near one.

    That's pretty wild.

I never said anything, but strangely enough, I have only been getting occasional sightings since then.

Hey, Buddy, what is the difference between a feral cat, possum, coon and a squirrel?

    Dunno...they don't LIVE here!

I saw a coyote cross the road in front of me 2 days ago. I slowed as I passed him. He just stood there in the bar ditch glaring as if to say "yeah? you want some?"
