I don't have a usual place yet. Just trying to look for a outdoor range. Been to mostly Athena since my can is in jail there. Any recommendations for outdoor?

Unfortunately the best outdoor ranges are clubs it seems.

Orchard-Wallis Gun Range looks promising even if they charge by the gun.

American Shooting Center is an option in Katy but I hate shooting there because every time I've gone I felt like I was about to get shot by somebody mishandling a gun.

Hotwells seems OK. Spring Guns and Ammo is another option up north.

Yes, you'll probably have to be put on a waiting list, but it's worth it.

Alright, I has some co-workers tell me about PSC. I've been pushing it to the side on registering to be put on the waiting list.

PSC doesn't maintain a waiting list anymore as far as I know. If they open registration, it's usually first come first serve some time in the Fall. You can reach out the membership director, Jim Pierce, to see if they have any plans to hold registration this year.
