Left in (drum roll)………. 1960. Was bad even then but I did buy a Marlin bolt action .22lr at the age of 12 without parental presence and just cash. Couldn't do that now. Still have the rifle.
    Welcome to Texas.

    Hotwells seems OK

I haven't been back to Hot Wells since before "the incident", so this could have changed, but let's just say I wasn't entirely surprised something finally happened there. Not too thrilled with their history of employee decisions. Though, like I said, all of that may have changed since.

I've only shot once there and that was skeet. Incidentally that was about two weeks before Josh Cummings was killed.

Thes staff I interacted with was ok but that was pretty limited. I haven't bothered to go back since.

PSC doesn't maintain a waiting list anymore as far as I know. If they open registration, it's usually first come first serve some time in the Fall. You can reach out the membership director, Jim Pierce, to see if they have any plans to hold registration this year.

Thanks for the heads up. I emailed them and said I will need to wait for the end of August to get in. At least that's a start.

Welcome from here in Spring. I am from Brooklyn, originally.
I understand your feelings about the restrictive regulations in NYC, and I can appreciate the freedom here in Texas. Additionally, Texas (and Texans) have a much different view and appreciation of personal freedom.
    It's refreshing.
