You can feel a SLIGHT difference in felt recoil. I honestly did not expect to feel anything different when I bought my Brig last year. It's not much... But in the web of your hand, you CAN feel a slight, slight difference in recoil. It is a tiny, tiny bit less.

Well, I had heard it would be a difference - I really expected no difference, personally. The weight difference between the two slides is very small. But, there is a slight, noticeable difference.

Beretta National Match, built at the AMU (Army Marksmanship Unit), FT Benning, GA by Tony Kidd when he was an armorer there. Shoots superbly, looks ugly. A shooting machine designed to win matches.

My only Beretta right now is a Tomcat but I like it very much

    You like 'em?
I went through 2 of them and decided I didn't like them all that much. Bought the 1st one used and it shot around 4" low, left at 10 FEET. Stove pipped a lot too. Sent it to Beretta with a letter of explanation, they sent me a NEW pistol free of charge (whether or not you like Berettas, you can't dislike their customer service!)

Second one was exactly like the first. So I gave up on the Tomcats.

    What do ya think?

    - Wilson Fluted guiderod
    - Steel Trigger
    - Elite II Hammer
    - Enlarged Mag Release
    - Wilson VZ Compact Grips

I like how that turned out! Being new to guns, I was considering an M9A1, but thought it was just a little too large for my hands. I had no idea that a compact model existed! Definitely going to have to check that out.

It's not that much smaller. The grip is just shorter but the width is about the same. Hold one if you can. You can also try one with the Vertec grip, it's a lot slimmer.

Thanks for the advice. It was mostly the grip width that I didn't like. I will check out some local shops and get my hands on one to see how it fits.
