I've heard Jennings makes a pretty sweet 22 pistol. Now excuse me comrades, while I duck for cover from the incoming deluge...;)

    Comrades?

Not a surprising reply from a resident of the "People's Republic of Austin"!

Seems to me, Jennings are made for a demographic historically disarmed by Commissars.

    Be well & Merry Christmas!

    or both?

say what you mean damnit this aint Calguns.net

    i had a jennings for a while.

it was actually pretty nice for a J-22.

most of the time it owuld get through an entire maazine without jamming.

main problem was keyholing .22 lr at 10 feet.

also, be sure when looking into any firearm, that you do so from the breach and not the muzzle ;)

the barrel appears to be all metal unlike some of the others, just wonder if it will be worth the 500 dollar price tag, of course thats msrp, may pay 400 for one if they are a winner.

sort of, I was referring to the P22 and mosquito which have a thin metal barrel wrapped in ''plastic''.

Would be nice, I wanted a .22 with a full size look but was turned off by the barrels and reliabilty problems with standard ammo.

WTF are you looking at??? Both of my Walther P22s have steel threaded barrels with a steel sleeve. The action is a light weight cast alloy. The only things that are plastic are the lower receivers and triggers, and the mag butts.

And they shoot just fine with bulk Remington ammo, and excellent with quality ammo. They just don't cycle reliably with low velocity or cheap stuff.

My bad, guess it's just the mesquito, I thought I had seen the same on a p22 that I had looked at. Reviews were mixed as far as what they liked to eat so I was leary, Like to feed my .22 whatever crap I have around. Glad you like yours.

I have 5 mags and can fire off 50 rounds as fast as I can pull the trigger and reload. They do very well with Remington Golden Bullets 525 bulk, Mini Mags, and anything that is not sub-sonic...except anything Winchester for some weird reason. I usually put 200+ down the pipe just to get into the zone before picking up my .45 or 9mm. It will easily put all 200 in a 10 inch circle at 15 yards.
