    All I know of him is the Iran contra scandal. The media is going to make sure everyone remembers it now that he’s president of the NRA.

    There’s probably better people to choose from but those in charge of the NRA seem to thrive on controversy.

    Seems some here take the president of the NRA kinda serious. It's more of a figurehead type roll in my opinion.

    If you were to poll the last 50,000 members to join the NRA, and ask who the president of the NRA was when they joined, and how it factored into their decision to join, do you think more than 1% could even tell you who the president was?

    It's a figurehead position. The "VP" is the one with the power, and he's not up for election.
