Despite efforts and warnings, a Chinese Communist has purchased 140,000 acres of land along the Mexican border near Laughlin AFB. The Lufkin man bought a number of properties from the previous landholders and then sold them to the Chinese on the same day, serving essentially as a straw buyer so no one would know it was going to the Chinese. The companies affiliated with this Chinese billionaire already own huge tracts of Texas under various names and entities.

Its bad enough when people sell property to a company that they do not do the research on, but to have someone purposefully serve as a shill for the Chinese is inexcusable.

    He needs to be disappeared.

I'd be wary of anything Nut-real News is reporting.

That horse left the barn a long time ago...

Since 2015, foreign holdings have increased an average of nearly 2.2 million acres annually, ranging from 0.8 million acres to 3.3 million acres per year.

Currently, no Federal law exists that restricts foreign persons, entities, or governments from acquiring or holding U.S. agricultural land; it only requires foreign persons and entities to disclose to the USDA information related to ownership of US agricultural land.

There is also a patchwork of regulations and disclosure requirements at the state level, and some states limit or have proposed banning certain foreign entities from acquiring agricultural land.

As of 2021, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported that foreign persons and entities held an interest in 40.8 million acres of US agricultural land—about 4.5 percent of the total. Texas has the largest amount, at approximately 5.3 million acres.

According to the last Census of Agriculture in 2017, agricultural land is still primarily owned by families and individuals (201.5 million acres of cropland and 223.8 million acres of pastureland).

The remaining 3.1 million acres of private cropland and 6.4 million acres of private pastureland are held by partnerships, family corporations (in which a single family and close relatives hold a majority of shares), and industrial agricultural corporations.

So the real problem isn't foreign ownership, but farmland consolidation.

According to USDA data, in the 1980s more than half (57 percent) of all US cropland was operated by midsize farms (100 to 999 acres), while 15 percent was operated by large farms (at least 2,000 acres). Over the next three decades, cropland shifted toward larger operations, and by 2012, midsize farms held only 36 percent of cropland.

And "Lufkin man" needs to be " former citizen".

Yesterday I learned that my rich Brother-in-Law is friends with this Traitor, and hangs out boozing with him at his place near Jasper called "The Blue Hole".

I will ask him about this guy and report back what he tells me.

In the 1980's we high school kids used to go swimming there, for free, because the former Landowner allowed it because we agreed to keep the place clean. No more. The Traitor now owns it.
