"The father of a missing 3-year-old who was arrested at a New Mexico compound linked to "extremist Muslims" last week was training children to commit school shootings, court documents filed on Wednesday revealed.

"Prosecutors allege Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 39, was conducting weapons training on the compound, where 11 children were found hungry and living in squalor. They asked Wahhaj, who appeared in court on Wednesday, be held without bail."

Quote from the article: "Upon authorities' arrival, Wahhaj was 'heavily armed with an AR15 rifle, five loaded 30 round magazines, and four loaded pistols, including one in his pocket when he was taken down,' Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe said."

Out of curiosity, would you consider that "heavily armed"?

    Mikeyj,

I'm GLAD that they didn't come to my house, as I always have a 12 gauge pump shotgun loaded with #1 buckshot within my reach & always have a 9mm Sig-Sauer on my belt, too.
(My Remington pump rifles are loaded & available, too.)

I see NO good use for an unloaded gun.

    yours, satx

Taos is artsy fartsy which would mean its most likely very liberal.

These were bad people, no doubt.

Agreed, but I've seen reports that this guy was connected to radical Muslims in NYC, and may even have had connections to the first WTC bombing. It's a fair question to ask and it looks like many in the mainstream media are downplaying if not ignoring this aspect of it (as they tend to do).

But they're super quick to whip up some kind of "he had 4 loaded guns, oh my!!!" hysteria.
